Ephesians 3:14–21 | Who Are We? Series
Do you ever feel like you’re running on empty? Like you’re doing everything for God—but feeling disconnected fromGod?
In Ephesians 3:14–21, the Apostle Paul reminds us that real strength doesn’t come from working harder on the outside, but from being rooted deeper on the inside. God wants to fill you with His power, presence, and love—so your faith overflows into every part of life.
This message is for anyone tired of performing. Because here’s the truth:
Inner strength produces outer faith.
🙏 1. Get Stronger by Starting with Prayer
(Ephesians 3:14–16)
Paul doesn’t start with action—he starts with kneeling. Why? Because spiritual strength begins in surrender. You don’t have to fake strength when you can receive it from God.
💬 Try this: Start your day with 2 minutes of stillness before God. Breathe. Pray. Invite His Spirit to strengthen your inner being before the day begins.
📖 “…that He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being.” (v.16)
🌱 2. Grow Deeper Roots in God’s Love
(Ephesians 3:17–19)
Paul prays that you’ll be rooted and grounded in love—because love is what holds you steady when life shakes you. Your identity can’t be based on likes, performance, or perfection. It has to be based on God’s unchanging love for you.
💬 Try this: Write down three ways God has shown you love in the past week—through a friend, a verse, or even a small moment of peace. Meditate on those.
📖 “…to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge…” (v.19)
💧 3. Live Full so You Can Overflow
(Ephesians 3:19–21)
You weren’t meant to live on spiritual fumes. Paul says you can be filled with all the fullness of God. Why? So you can be a blessing to others. When your soul is full, your life overflows with joy, peace, and purpose.
💬 Try this: Choose one way this week to pour into someone else—a kind word, a text of encouragement, an unexpected act of generosity. Love doesn’t stay contained.
📖 “Now to him who is able to do far more than we ask or imagine…” (v.20)
📷 Closing Thought: The Lighthouse That Withstood the Storm
A lighthouse doesn’t survive the waves because of its paint job—but because of its foundation. When your life is built on Christ, storms don’t sink you—they shape you. You are built for more.
“When you are full of God, you overflow with His presence into the lives of others.” — D.L. Moody
💡 Final Challenge:
Don’t just try to look strong. Let God make you strong from the inside out.
🧭 Inner strength produces outer faith.
